About Bank of the Pacific.
Bellingham, Washington was recently named one of the 5 most liveable cities. As such, it was the perfect place for Bank of the Pacific to expand their operations to include. The Bank is a full-service community institution that stresses professional, convenient and customized financial services to the people of Washington State.
The Bank needed to move quickly into their new location, while at the same time distinguishing themselves from a myriad competitors. They engaged NewGround to manage the product and bring cutting-edge technology to their new facility. NewGround selected Whitley-Evergreen to construct the modular portions of the facility. The facility needed to utilize unique design, both interior and exterior, while remaining cost-conscious and within an aggressive time schedule.
NewGround created a unique Craftsmen style exterior with an impressive entrance tower. Native stone accents wrap the modular portions of the building, blending it into its wooded surroundings. The cost-effective usage of modular construction allowed Bank of the Pacific to gain more functional space, control their construction costs and still create the exciting contemporary aesthetic that the Bank needed. The interior spaces are fluid, with soffit features, curved flooring surface transitions and angled walls, all adding to the aesthetic. The HVAC system was carefully designed to offer comfort throughout a variety of climate "zones" while remaining cost conscious. In all, the Bank received a great return on its construction investment in a shortened time period.
